Russell Schwarz, Pastor
Russell is the father of four married sons and grandfather of nineteen. He is a graduate of Crown College with a BA in Bible and Simpson University with an MA in Ministry. He raised his family on Kodiak Island, Alaska where they enjoyed outdoor activities such as salmon, halibut, and king crab fishing, deer hunting, and hiking in the mountains. After moving to Texas, Russell's wife was killed in a car accident. In 2008 he married Joy who is the mother of a son and daughter and grandmother of seven. Today, Russell and Joy enjoy walking, reading, gardening, and riding their motorcycle through the Hill Country of Texas and other destinations around the country. Russell has been in pastoral ministry since 1975. In February 2020, Russell received a degree of Doctor of Divinity from Christian Bible Institute & Seminary.
Tommy Fusco, Student Pastor
Tommy is from San Angelo, TX where he lived for 32 years. In 2004, he attended Master’s Commission, a Bible College in Sacramento, CA. After college, in 2007, Tommy moved back to San Angelo where he worked in retail for 8 years. There he met and fell in love with Jessie. They were married in 2009 and that same year Tommy and Jessie became the Kids Pastor at San Angelo First Assembly of God Church, a position they enjoyed for 6 years. In 2015 they accepted a call to the position of Pastor of Student Ministries here at Fellowship Bible Church. Tommy and Jessie also have two lovely boys Judah and Lincoln. They are excited to be at FBC and trust God for great things with the FBC youth.
Sara Richardson-Paniagua, Christian Education Director
A native Texan, Sara grew up in San Antonio and graduated from Taft High School in 1999. Sara is married to Eddie and has two daughters, Abby and Gabby. With a background in Finance, Sara worked for various credit unions in San Antonio. In 2009, Sara was called into ministry and served two years as the Children and Youth Pastor for a local church before taking a job working for the Fisher House. While at the Fisher House, Sara gave her time and effort working with Veterans that needed help during their medical treatment. The Fisher House allowed her to minister to veterans in their time of need and also give back to our valued service members. Sara is currently pursuing an Associates Degree in Theology and a Bachelors in Accounting. Sara enjoys to read, spend time with family, and to try new restaurants.
Carol Hetler, Office Administrator
Carol is the mother of three married children and grandmother of six. She is a graduate of New Tribes Bible College with a BA in Intercultural Ministries. Carol's parents were missionaries in Paraguay, South America where she spent most of her childhood. After she finished missionary training with New Tribes Mission (NTM), Carol and her ex-husband, Gary, taught languages at the NTM Language and Linguistics Center in Camdenton, Missouri for five years. In 1979 they continued missionary work with NTM in Paraguay and then Bolivia, South America. They served with New Tribes Mission for 15 years until Carol's health forced them to leave missionary work and settle in San Antonio, TX in 1989. She wrote the books "The Pain Behind the Mask: Vol. 1 and 2" about fibromyalgia and its treatment. Carol has been the church Office Administrator since February 2008. She enjoys her ministry with the ladies at Fellowship, loves reading, writing and spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Ben Cevey, Finance Officer
Growing up in the Dallas area, Ben served in the Marine Corps after high school. In 1998 He moved to San Antonio to work and study Music Marketing. While in San Antonio, he met his wife, Renee, who was completing pediatric residency training in the Air Force. They were married in 2003 and have since welcomed two children into the family, Emily and Joshua. Ben is an “at home” dad taking care of the kids and helps to keep Renee’s medical practice running. They have been attending FBC since 2007. He enjoys being involved in his children’s school activities and athletic competitions, hosting basketball for the men in the church, and playing sports… especially golf!
